Interesting. I had no idea.

Sometimes it’s hard to dislike Bill Gates. Usually, actually. Good work, Billy.
I went to chili-fest on Martha’s Vineyard yesterday. Never underestimate the power of a mariachi band and lots of chili.
I love that these guys are all over the radar these days! Rock on, bros.
This is my friend Jim. I would like to use him as an example of people who work too much. He is a lawyer at a fancy downtown DC firm where he defends the big drug companies from the merciless public. (No judgement.) He works weekends. He often works so late that he can’t rely on the Metro to get him home, because it might stop running before he does. When he finally gets a day off to play (on a bus full of friends), he falls asleep.
He doesn’t plan on doing this forever, thank god, but in the meantime I can’t help but cringe as I think of him eating nothing but fast food and seeing little daylight. Godspeed, Laser.
Why is it that the death of a movie star can make me feel so completely and gut-wrenchingly depressed? I think because it is a reminder that even people who are brilliant and blessed cannot always escape the suffocating grasp of sadness.
This site is a wonderful place to find handmade and locally-made crafts. It’s a bit overwhelming in size and scope!
